Wynwood is perhaps best known as a hub of contemporary and street art. Both serious and casual collectors are welcome at Wynwood’s many galleries, which sell pieces at all price points. Synonymous with the neighborhood are vibrant murals, which were originally commissioned by the neighborhood’s visionary developer, Tony Goldman, in the early 2000s. Years later, Wynwood’s renaissance is all but complete, while the outdoor gallery of striking art continues to evolve. While you can see murals throughout the neighborhood, the centerpiece here is the Wynwood Walls. Purchase timed tickets in advance to view more than 35 murals by world-renowned artists. As popular with locals as they are with visitors, the walls (indeed, Wynwood itself) offer a unique and memorable experience.
